Overview

The only show cave in the High Tatras — 1,275 steps through high chambers with sinter waterfalls and a hall used for concerts thanks to its acoustics. One of Slovakia's show caves in Northern Slovakia, it's seen on a guided walk through cool, floodlit chambers — a fine escape from summer heat or a rainy day.

Why visit: The Tatras' one show cave, with genuine concert acoustics.

History: Open to visitors since 1882 and electrically lit from 1896, among the first caves in Europe to be so.
