Why visit: The oldest of the Seven Wonders and the only one still standing — and unlike almost every other ancient site, you can go inside.
- ›Buy the separate ticket to go inside a pyramid — the entry fee only covers the site
- ›Walk or ride out to the panorama point for the classic all-three view
- ›Go at opening; by mid-morning both the heat and the crowds have arrived
- ›Agree any camel or horse price in writing beforehand, and pay at the end
