Slovak Tokaj Wine Region

Malá Tŕňa, Košice Region, Slovakia

4.3 (0)
Overview

The small Slovak share of the historic Tokaj region — volcanic slopes and mould-lined tuff cellars producing the same golden botrytised wines as its Hungarian side. Set in Eastern Slovakia, it rewards an unhurried visit — its walls, views and local history, with cafés or a village nearby to round out the trip; September – October (harvest) is the pleasantest time to come.

Why visit: Taste Tokaj at its source, without the crowds.
