Overview

The colossal 1321 stone citadel of Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq — cyclopean sloping ramparts, cursed by a saint to lie 'inhabited by shepherds', and largely so still.

Why visit: Delhi's most massive, atmospheric ruin — bring water and imagination.
